Placer (Touch-Down)

The Placer is a placement head designed for accurate alignment as well as placement of components. The Placer is especially used when components should be placed on a pressure-sensitive or viscous surface or when an extremely precise measurement of the substrate height is required. For this purpose, the Placer has an inductive distance sensor in the Z-direction, which detects when the component touches down on the surface of the substrate. It is also possible to position the component in the Z-direction at a defined depth in a viscous or liquid medium.

A special tool interface enables the use of vacuum-supported or passive tools.
In addition, a Z-axis stroke of 150 mm guarantees exceptional reach. This means that even positions in deep cavities can be reached without any problems.
