Needle Cleaning Bath

The Needle Cleaning Bath cleans needles during the dispensing process by immersing them in a detergent or solvent. In order to mitigate material reactions with air the needle tip can be parked during metering pauses.

For these operations, the dispensing needle tip is immersed in a selected process liquid. The liquid is stored in a chemically resistant container within a chamber. The chamber is automatically opened and closed by a glass cover. Especially when working with liquids containing solvents, evaporation is reduced.

In the cleaning chamber, a continuous level detection of the container content is performed by an optical sensor. In case the level falls below the minimum level or an user-defined cleaning frequency is reached, the machine software issues an error message.
The cleaning time is individually adjustable via the control software.
